Great title!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots!
(Carletta's Captures)
Cute little beasties :).
ReplyDeleteI like the last one best with the shadows barring the butterfly.
ReplyDeleteWow! These are just excellent! I like the second the best...is that a dragonfly?
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots.Mini Beasts indeed
ReplyDeleteThese are indeed excellent! I particularly like the last two, so beautiful! And I love your title! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Yes, they are cool mini beasts. I love the details on the fly.
ReplyDeleteThe second is a Crane Fly, sometimes known as Daddy Long Legs. It only has 1 pair of wings where a dragonfly has 2.
ReplyDeleteLove these shots, that butterfly sure knows how to hide. Well spotted!
ReplyDeleteThe camouflage in your third photo is stunning - a really lovely composition.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michael. I learned something new and interesting! We have spiders here that are called Daddy Long Legs.
ReplyDeleteI love the shadows on the butterfly in the third shot, really demonstrates the effectiveness of the camoflage!
ReplyDeleteyou did well spotting that moth in the leaves in the last picture... excellent photos all of them.
ReplyDeleteI like the last one best
ReplyDeleteOh he's definitely not a moth. He's a Speckled Wood Butterfly (Pararge aegeria). Pretty mini beast. :)

Excellent close-up shots. The last one shows how the protective coloration of the butterfly works.
