Great title!Awesome shots!(Carletta's Captures)
Cute little beasties :).
I like the last one best with the shadows barring the butterfly.
Wow! These are just excellent! I like the second the best...is that a dragonfly?
These are great shots.Mini Beasts indeed
These are indeed excellent! I particularly like the last two, so beautiful! And I love your title! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Sylvia
Yes, they are cool mini beasts. I love the details on the fly.
The second is a Crane Fly, sometimes known as Daddy Long Legs. It only has 1 pair of wings where a dragonfly has 2.
Love these shots, that butterfly sure knows how to hide. Well spotted!
The camouflage in your third photo is stunning - a really lovely composition.
Thanks, Michael. I learned something new and interesting! We have spiders here that are called Daddy Long Legs.
I love the shadows on the butterfly in the third shot, really demonstrates the effectiveness of the camoflage!
you did well spotting that moth in the leaves in the last picture... excellent photos all of them.
I like the last one best
Oh he's definitely not a moth. He's a Speckled Wood Butterfly (Pararge aegeria). Pretty mini beast. :)
Beautiful, delicate and amazing images. Thanks for sharing.x happy shadow shot sunday. lyndahttp://chocolatelifeandjazz.blogspot.com
Excellent close-up shots. The last one shows how the protective coloration of the butterfly works.
