Lovely cool fresh morning in the woods today, followed by blue skies.
Amongst the leafy foliage on the woodland floor emerged this rather dapper looking seed grass, all the while I thought bluebells would emerge. Just goes to show how little I know.
Azaleas in the Botanic Gardens

I'm lucky enough to be currently teaching a nature writing class which is
using Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens as a venue. A great venue at any time of
year...

Those last two shots are excellent Debbie. Love that low angle.
ReplyDeleteHa;-) nearly got down totally flat on the grass but it was wet and I knew Phil would have looked at me and said what are you doing ya 'dick' so a knee shot was the best I could come up with ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like these were worth some damp knees Deb.
ReplyDeleteI think its woodsedge, lovely plant...
ReplyDeleteThink your right crafty, just been on a site with similiar looking pic which described the grass as great woodrush perennial sedge that likes acid soils. Thanks
